The information provided by Reposight ("we," "us," or "our") on this platform is for general informational purposes only. All analytics, metrics, and insights generated by Reposight are based on commit metadata from your connected version control platforms and should be used as supplementary information, not as the sole basis for evaluating developer performance or making employment decisions.
The "Estimated Coding Time" feature uses heuristic algorithms based on commit timestamps, diff sizes, and historical patterns to approximate the time contributors spent coding. These estimates are inherently approximate and may not reflect actual working time. Factors such as code review, planning, meetings, debugging without commits, and other non-commit activities are not captured. These estimates should not be used as a primary measure of productivity or to compare individual contributors.
While we strive to ensure the accuracy of the analytics provided, Reposight makes no warranties about the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of this information. Data accuracy depends on the integrity of commit history from your connected platforms. Force-pushed branches, rebased commits, squash merges, and other git operations may affect the accuracy of reported metrics.
Reposight integrates with GitHub, Bitbucket, and GitLab through their respective APIs. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to GitHub, Inc. (a subsidiary of Microsoft Corporation), Atlassian Corporation, or GitLab Inc. Service availability depends on these third-party platforms and their API availability.
In no event shall Reposight be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the service. This includes any decisions made based on the analytics and insights provided by our platform.
We believe engineering analytics should empower teams, not create surveillance. Reposight is designed to provide visibility at the team and project level, helping organizations understand patterns and trends. We strongly advise against using commit metrics as the sole measure of individual developer productivity. Quality of code, collaboration, mentorship, and problem-solving cannot be measured by commit frequency or lines of code alone.
We reserve the right to modify this disclaimer at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of Reposight after posted changes constitutes acceptance of the modified disclaimer.
